PORT KLANG, Nov 15 -- "Fuji Maru" hosting the Southeast Asian Youth Programme that arrived here on Nov 12 will depart for Bangkok today. A total of 319 youths from Asean and Japan are participating in the programme that will take them to Indonesia, Malaysia, Philipines, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia. The programme is carried out by the Government of Japan with the active participation of these ten Southeast Asian Countries.The purpose of the programme is to promote frienship and mutual understanding among youths of Japan and Southeast Asian countries, to broaden their perspectives on the world, as well to strengthen their motivations and abilities in international cooperation by participating in discussions, introductions of each country and various exchange activities both on board and in the countries visited.-- fotoBERNAMA COPYRIGHT RESERVED
