LABUAN, May 18 -- Two of World War II bombs found off Rusukan Besar Island on Saturday.A group of Ôgotong-royongÕ led by Member of Parliament for Labuan was shocked to have stumbled upon nine active unexploded ordnance (UXO), believed to be the World War II bombs off Rusukan Besar Island here Saturday.The Ôgotong royongÕ participated by government officials and community leaders was organised to clean up the island, one of the three islands gazetted as the Labuan Marine Park and increasingly known for the turtle landing.Confirming the discovery, Labuan police chief Supt Adzhar Othman said the bombs were found at about 12pm and were detonated by the bomb squad on Sunday.-- fotoBERNAMA (2015) COPYRIGHT RESERVED
