KUCHING, Feb 25 -- Farmer Semiah anak Manja,52, drying the "buah engkabang" or illipeanut in front of her longhouse at Kampung Rayu, Matang about 25 km from here. For the mother of three, the bountiful harvest is a windfall as the tree bears fruits only once in very five years. She can harvest up to 40 kilos daily of the helicopter-shaped fruits which will be processed mainly for cooking oil and sweetmeats.
