SINGAPORE, April 28 -- The newly appointed High Commissioner of Malaysia to Singapore, Datuk Ilango Karuppanannan (centre) today presented his credentials to President Tony Tan Keng Yam in a ceremony at the Istana, Singapore. In a statement today, High Commission of Malaysia in Singapore said Ilango joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia in 1988. He was the Undersecretary of Europe Division since 2014 prior to his appointment as the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Singapore. He was previously the Ambassador of Malaysia to Lebanon from 2010 to 2014,Minister Counsellor at the Embassy of Malaysia in Washington D.C. from 2006 to2010 and Charge dÕaffaires at the Embassy of Malaysia in Conakry, Guinea from 1997 to 2001. Ilango had also served as First Secretary at the Embassy of Malaysia in Bonn, Federal Republic of Germany from 1994 to 1997.
