BANGKOK, Aug 26 -- Bangkok is bracing itself as thousands of protesters laid siege to the country's administrative centre, the Government House, as well as the government-owned NBT television channel on Tuesday.Despite the tight security around the Government House, where Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej's office is located, protesters managed to block all roads leading into the vast compound from 6am today.The weekly cabinet meeting, which is scheduled to be held there today at the Government House is also likely to be postponed.Television footage also showed dozens of protesters, with their face covered, storming the NBT Channel and ordering its staffs to leave.However the channel remained on air.On Monday, Samak vowed to stay in power despite the threat by the People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) to bring down his six-months-old government through a massive political rally on Tuesday.--fotoBERNAMA COPYRIGHT RESERVED
