BOGALE, June 28 -- The United Nations (UN) top official in Asia Noeleen Heyzer and Asean Secretary General Surin Pitsuwan with children at a temporary shelter in Satsan, here.Last Thursday, Heyzer and Surin toured three areas which were severely-affected by 'Cyclone Nargis' which left close to 140,000 people dead in south of Yangon and the Irrawaddy delta on May 2 and 3.The duo accompanied by Myanmar's Deputy Foreign Minister U Kyaw Thu Thu who chairs the Asean Humanitarian Task Force, took a 40 minute helicopter ride from Yangon to Bogale, as well as Satsan and Kyein Chaung Gyi.They was briefed on the Myanmar Government's relief work on the ground as well as support from UN agencies like Unicef and the World Food Programme which deployed 10 helicopters to deliver food and equipments.--fotoBERNAMA COPYRIGHT RESERVED
